Firstly may we wish all our members a happy New Year and look forward to seeing you down at the club.

Members Survey

In our December news we referred to a club survey, which we would like all members to complete.

Click here to take the survey. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/FCGTN3K

On-Line booking

This will be up and running by the end of the month.

Full details will follow together with an FAQ, which will guide members through the process.

It should be noted that this will be the only way of booking a court in future as the old book system is to be withdrawn.

League News

100% Box

Excellent participation within Box 2 in December with 100% of games played in a keenly fought box.

Red Boxing

It is a shame that Box 3 and Box 4 did not play any games and indeed box 4 have not played for months. If players in Box 3 and 4 do not play this month I will remove them from the league in February as I can only assume you do not wish to be in the league.

Kendal v Penrith

It is interesting to note that Kendal's leagues consist of 15 boxes a total of 75 players. I appreciate that Kendal has a larger population 28,586 v Penrith's 15,200 but even with the population difference we should be able to muster 7 boxes rather than 2.

Become active in the leagues, please!

Many people shy away from joining leagues in the belief that they cannot make the commitment and that leagues are too serious.

It’s too much of a commitment?

With Penrith Squash League to play all your games in one month requires just one game a week.

It’s too serious?

Penrith Squash League is NOT a serious competitive club or county level league. It is primarily a league for players who enjoy playing squash to keep fit.

What are the benefits?

You can get up to four games a month against different players. Win or lose, your game will improve as you learn to handle different styles of players.
