Full club reopening

Dear Member

As you will be aware the Government has announced that any ‘legal’ restrictions are to be lifted from next Monday, 19th July. However England Squash have not issued new guidelines so far.

As a result, a decision has been taken by the committee to fully open up the club, with all 3 courts in use, together with the showers and changing rooms, from Monday 19th July.

However, as Boris has told us all, the pandemic is not over, far from it, and with infections back to record highs everyone still needs to remain cautious.

The committee would therefore recommend that all members should continue to use good judgement in the common areas of the club together with the use of sanitiser.

With regard to club nights and leagues, these will start again over the next few weeks and, as we have said before, the committee are looking at ways to welcome back all our existing members as well as attracting new ones over the next few months.

I am sure you are all looking towards returning to the club and getting back on court. We all want to see some sense of normality but we must all be mindful that we are still living with a pandemic with the dangers it brings.

We shall be back in contact with further details but if you have any queries in the meantime please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards,

Chris Lilley
