World Ranked Ladies Squash Player visits Penrith

Emily Whitlock, a professional squash player who represents Wales and is ranked 20 in the world, recently spent the new year weekend in Penrith.  In order to keep her training regime going, even though she was on holiday, she contacted Penrith Squash & Racketball to see if she could use one of their courts to practice on.  Chair Chris Lilley was delighted to receive her call: “It was New Year’s Eve and we had spare courts, so it was an honour to welcome her and her coach to our club for a training session.  Looking at her court craft, you can see why she is ranked so high in the world.”

Emily is one of the most talented young British players on the PSA World Tour and already has a vast array of Tour titles in her burgeoning career.  She reached a career-high world ranking of 12 back in 2017 and represented Wales in the Commonwealth Games in August.
