Fundraising Target Reached

Penrith Squash & Racketball Club Hits £30,000 Crowdfunder Target

Penrith Squash & Racketball Club is delighted to announce that our community Crowdfunder campaign has successfully reached its £30,000 target – a milestone that marks a major step forward in securing the future of the club.

This achievement has only been possible thanks to the incredible generosity of our members, local residents, and businesses across Penrith and the wider area. Supporters pledged donations, purchased rewards, and supplied rewards for the campaign, demonstrating the strength of community spirit behind the effort to save the club from closure.

Our sincere thanks also go to Sport England who supported our campaign and who matched every £1 pledged up to £15,000.

Reaching the £30,000 target means we are now well on our way to protecting and revitalising a much‑loved local sports facility.

However, our journey is not yet complete. Further work is still required to secure the club’s future, and we will continue to explore funding opportunities, partnerships, and community support to ensure Penrith Squash & Racketball Club remains a vibrant, accessible space for generations to come.

Richard Utting, Chair of Penrith Squash & Racketball commented by saying – “Hitting our £30,000 Crowdfunder target is an incredible moment for Penrith Squash & Racketball Club. The support from our members, local people and businesses has been truly inspiring — every pledge, every reward bought, and every reward donated has helped bring us to this point. Thanks to this community effort and the support from Sport England, we are now firmly on the path to saving the club from closure. There is still more work ahead, but today we celebrate what Penrith has achieved so far together.”
